    JOB CLASS

    • Application Engineer(California based)

        SCOPE:

      Perform duties to provide product training, pre-sale demonstrations and expertise in 3D imaging processes to the company’s customers, guided by precedent and working within the limits of established policies.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

      1. Communicate with sales staff in order to determine and log problems with any Shining 3D product discovered in the field and/or during testing. Forward beneficial information to applications staff.

      2. Provide feedback to the R&D for product improvement on a regular basis.

      3. Create and conduct training programs for customers and Shining 3D’s sales and applications staff. Develop curriculums, teaching aids and handouts, and conduct basic and advanced class.

      4.  Evaluate customer’s application requirements, when directed. Interpret drawings, CAD modeling and data, GD&T and inspection plans, reverse engineering and rapid prototyping requirements, in order to prepare necessary documentation and provide advanced application specific assistance and support to customers and the Customer Service Department

      5. Communicate directly with customers and assist with any problems arising after installation and resolve any issues, adhering to established procedures and utilizing expertise, available tools and other technical personnel as needed

      6.  Conduct product demonstrations and provide high-level pre-sales technical assistance for potential customers in support of the sales department transcending his/her established territory when directed

      7. Review data from customers including digital photographs, technical drawings, 3D models, inspections plans, mock-ups and parts. Contact customers to clarify requirements and explain the following steps in the process

      8. Perform MQC services when required. Travel to customer’s facility and provide services as needed, including 3D inspection, modeling and measurement, CAD data utilization, reverse engineering, inspection or consulting on rapid prototyping manufacturing issues

      9. Create training manuals, quick reference guides and review documentation for technical accuracy, as needed in support of Sales, Customer Service and Training.

       

      REQUIREMENTS:

      4.    1. Subsidiaries based position – English speaking candidates to facilitate inter-company communication, local-official language spoken in assigned territory base, knowledge of additional languages used with territory are a plus; for instance, French, Spanish, Italian, Scandinavian, Dutch, etc. in EMEA. Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese in the Americas and major Asian languages in Asia-Pacific (APAC), such as Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese), Japanese and Korean.

      2. Eligible for employment in target territory. Valid driver’s license. Ability to lift 25 Kg on a regular basis 

       

      3. B.S. Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field required and 4+ years of experience as Applications Engineer in the use of 3D imaging and rapid prototyping (additive manufacturing)

      4. Understanding of 2D and 3D CAD, Metrology, blueprint interpretation, GD&T

      5.Exhibits exceptional problem solving and interpersonal skills as recognized by peer

      COMPENSATION AND OTHERS:

      1.  The Application Engineer (AE) compensation plan is designed to motivate, recognize, and reward employees who are meeting or exceeding performance expectations. The plan consists of three components including a base salary, eligibility for company bonus and job benefits as established by the local labor laws

    • Dental product Account Manager(California based)

       SCOPE:

      Perform functions to provide on-site demonstrations, generate revenues, and identify additional sales opportunities for the Company’s products, in assigned territory.  

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
      1.Generate sales revenues by performing product demonstrations at selected customer sites. Evaluate customer requirements for this purpose; including installation location, mounting requirements, customer engineering drawings, CAD/CAM data, inspection plans and rapid prototyping requirements.
      2.Develop a complete and expert knowledge of Shining 3D’s hardware and software products in order to demonstrate products to key individuals and organizations for marketing and sales purposes (trade shows, engineering associations, etc.)
      3.Identify additional sales opportunities outside of traditional channels.
      4.Utilize all available resources including sales management, Inside Sales Specialists, Applications Engineers, marketing and others to advance and close sales.
      5.Work as part of the sales team to generate ideas for company sales opportunities, processes and systems.
      6.Act as point of contact and provide technical support to potential customers during the evaluation period
      7.Effectively communicate recommendations for hardware and software changes to Applications Engineers and R&D as requested by customers.
      8.Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales performance goals as required.
       

      REQUIREMENTS:

      1.Degree in a related technical field required, or related engineering field required and 4+ years of experience as Account Manager in the sales and use of 3D imaging and rapid prototyping (additive manufacturing)
      2.Minimum 2 years of experience selling capital equipment in a manufacturing environment
      3.Ability to lift 25 Kg. on a regular basis 
      4.Valid driver's license within the established territory
      5.Permanent resident permit needed as applicable
      6. Familiar with Dental related knowledge 
      7. Fluent in Chinese will be a plus

      COMPENSATION AND OTHER:

      1.The Account Manager (AM) compensation plan is a base plus commission program designed to motivate, recognize, and reward the sales executives who are meeting or exceeding performance expectations. The plan consists of three components including a fixed or based salary, variable pay in the form of sales commissions and job benefits as established by the local labor laws.

      2.Commission is calculated on shipped goods, not including shipping charges and or administrative fees.

      3.Benefits typical of high-tech international sales engineering company.

    • Inside Sales Specialist(California USA based)

       Responsibilities:

      1.    Contact potential customers to qualify leads. Provide required information and schedule product demonstrations. Determine demonstration requirements based on a range of factors including applications, geography and staff availability. Communicate information concerning demonstration requirements and coordinate schedules with potential customers and outside sales staff as appropriate. Document records regarding potential customer in customer relationship management computer tool (CRM).

      2.    Develop and communicate recommendations for advancing the sales process. Communicate with outside sales staff to obtain required data and prepare sales quotations based on specifications provided. Apply appropriate pricing and discounts based on established pricing policy and obtain authorization for special pricing or other non-standard elements of quotations. Review quotations for accuracy and issue to potential customers.

      3.    Generate revenues by providing ongoing customer contact and by closing opportunities.

      4.    Assist with lead generation through cold calling and obtaining referrals in conjunction with marketing staff and other resources to ensure that assigned territories have sufficient leads and opportunities to generate demos and sales.

      5.    Receive and review purchase orders. Validate against quote and confirm details with customers. Prepare appropriate documentation, both printed and electronically inside of CRM; attach purchase order and electronic customer records and issue to accounting for review and credit authorization

      6.    Facilitate communications among the sales team. Make recommendations for improving the sales process, approach and systems.

      Qualifications, Education and Training

      1.   Proficient in developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships

      2.   Demonstrated proven effectiveness at working in fast-paced technical product environment REQUIRED

      3.   Demonstrated ability to attain and exceed quotas on a regular basis

      4.   Ability to establish excellent working rapport with outside sales reps, other team members and customers

    • Inside Sales Specialist(Germany based)
